• Question: what is the difference between brown bread and white bread

      The difference is in the flour you use to make it, if you use whole grain flour you will make a brown bread

      Brown bread also contains a lot more nutrients and importantly also has a high fibre content. Fibre is not digested in the human gut but it is really important for keeping your gut healthy and your gut microbes can eat thisfibre and make products which you can then absorb called short chain fatty acids.. these are really important for you.

      when you make flour, the flour contains fibre…this is brown (wholemeal) flour! much much healthier than the flour you get when you take the fibre away.
      The funny thing here is this: wholemeal flour/bread is easier to make so it SHOULD be cheaper!!!
