• Question: Is genetically modified food safe to eat ?

      NO! Not at all. If you can, avoid them as much as possible.

      I am still wondering why they are promoted in food marketing industry. Maybe you guys as future scientists can put an end to their production.

      I would actually have a different answer to Golnaz.. I think they are safe to eat. A lot of GM food is made this way so it can resist infections and grow better. In Europe these foods are pretty well tested before being sold on and so I think they can be okay.

      massive question. Nobody knows yet… It’s better to avoid them if you can.
      GM crops are definitely not environmentally friendly though. For human consumption…there are still many questions answered!

      Well I totally disagree with Golnaz and Yannis.
      There is plenty of evidence supporting the safety of GM food, more than 95% of the scientific publications on the area have concluded that GM food is as safe as any other food.
      High standrad organisations such as the European Comission, World Health Organisation and the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations had said that GM food is safe to eat.
