Question: how long does it usually take to get a result on an experiment

This usually depends on the experiment.. some analysis in my current work involves some experiments I completed nearly 2 years ago which I am still looking at.. I have been preforming different types of analysis on the results so it takes a long time. For other experiments I might have results the next day or even in a few hours.
