• Question: How do computers work?

      No easy answer for this. Computers what they do is to process information. They get information, they store it, and then they generate a more complex information. They get information from the keyboard and mouse, they store it in the hard drive, it is processed by the CPU and it is shown on the screen. The CPU is the central processing unit.

      Then you have the computer programs that are installed in the computer and as you know these are designed for different things. The computer just gets the info from this programs and process it so you can see it on the screen.

      this is not a question for a Food Scientist but I’ll give it a go…
      Computers are huge calculators, they try to calculate what ever we ask them, clever people called programmers can write software programmes to make a computer solve difficult problems!
